Objective: Students will learn about chicken farming and egg production through self-paced reading, videos, and activities, all through an interactive presentation platform.
Materials Needed: Students will need to create a Nearpod account where they can select themselves as a student. They may also need access to Google classroom and Zoom, depending on how the agents decide to use this format. (you can contact Amanda for more information on setup)
There are multiple activities:
Activity 1, students will need: 1 egg, cup, and vinegar.
Activity 2: Egg from previous activity, corn syrup, cup, spoon, food coloring (optional). Activity 3: Items around the house to build an egg catapult.
Activity 4: 1 egg, household items to keep egg safe for an egg drop.
Intended Audience: Grade 4-5
Delivery Type: All or Hybrid
You can deliver this content at a meeting you attend: live or over zoom.
You can send to a teacher so they can have the kids go through the lesson,
You can assign to kids as a virtual lesson (ex. using Google Classroom)
